Delete Your Account and Data

ProtoQuiz has no sign-up. The app creates an anonymous account for you automatically on first launch — you never provide a name, email address, or password. Deleting that anonymous account removes the data tied to it.
How to delete your account
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app, on either platform:
- Open ProtoQuiz on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to Delete Account & Data.
- Confirm when prompted.
The app signs you out, removes your anonymous sign-in, clears its data on your device and sends us a deletion request. We then delete the server data listed below. The app returns to its first-launch state.
If you can no longer open the app
Deleting the app from your device does not delete your data from our servers. If you have already uninstalled ProtoQuiz, the simplest route is to reinstall it and use the Profile screen — your anonymous account is restored on the same device, so the delete option will remove the right record.
If that is not possible, email support@protoquiz.com and we will help. Please note that because accounts are anonymous and hold no name or email address, we may need additional details from you — such as your approximate first-use date and the protocol document you uploaded — to identify your record with confidence.

What is kept, and for how long

Subscriptions must be cancelled separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us, so we cannot cancel one on your behalf.
Cancel before deleting your account:
- Android: Play Store › profile icon › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › ProtoQuiz › Cancel.
- iOS: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › ProtoQuiz › Cancel Subscription.
