Census and Atlas data license
Take it down or fix it
Any agency can have its listing added, corrected or removed, the same day. No reason needed. Or email research@protoquiz.com.
Where the documents come from
Protocols reach the census two ways: documents public agencies post, and protocols ProtoQuiz app users upload to study. Only public agencies are named. Some documents from private services, hospitals or training programs count toward anonymous totals; others, and any we cannot identify, are left out of the figures.
Uploaded files are never published, sold, or shared outside our service providers; census records do not store who uploaded a document, and uploaders are never named. Content from our agency platform is never used. The documents belong to the agencies that wrote them; nothing here licenses them. Figures are informational only, not clinical guidance, and provided without warranty.
Census and Atlas: CC BY-NC 4.0
The census figures and the 911 Atlas are free to read, quote and cite. They are licensed Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 (CC BY-NC 4.0): give credit, and do not use them commercially.
No automated bulk download and no scraping. That includes republishing the data, selling it, or building a product on it. County details load one county at a time, with a limit on requests. AI search assistants may read and cite the pages.
To credit the census, quote the citation line printed beside the number, n and date included:
United States EMS Protocol Census, n=<sources> protocols from <agencies> named agencies / <states> states, updated <month year>
To credit the Atlas: “ProtoQuiz 911 Atlas, protoquiz.com/research/atlas”, with the month you looked. Questions? Email research@protoquiz.com.
Each county says when its sources were dated and when we last checked them. If something is out of date, tell us.
Not for sale
Row-level data is not published, and is never sold, licensed, or shared. No bulk download, no API. Agency pages are for reading, not a dataset.
