Version 2.6.2 is rolling out now. New accounts get a week of Premium with no card, Med Mastery hard mode grades what you type against your own protocol, algorithm quizzes fit your certification level, and scenarios draw a genuinely different topic each time.

Your First Week Is Full Premium

New accounts get seven days of everything, granted when you finish setup. No card is involved, so there is no charge at the end and nothing to cancel. After that you land on the free tier: three of each generated feature a day.

Med Mastery Makes You Know It Cold

Easy mode is multiple choice, a good on-ramp for a new drug. Hard mode drops the options: you type the indications, doses and routes from memory, and the AI grades what you wrote against your own protocol. Nothing to work backwards from. Hard mode is free on every tier, because recall is the skill.

The Med Mastery Mode screen showing a mastery ring at 0 percent, counts for mastered, covered, in progress and not started, a Doses selector set to Adult, and the How You Answer setting with Easy for multiple choice and Hard for type the answer, with Hard selected
Easy is multiple choice. Hard drops the options and asks you to type it.

Indications, doses and routes are asked together, because a dose without its indication is not a fact.

Grading gives partial credit: name three of four indications and only the fourth comes back around. Wording is graded generously - abbreviations, synonyms and spellings count - but numbers and routes are exact. When the grader genuinely cannot tell, you get the point and both answers are shown side by side.

What Is New in 2.6.2

Seven days of full Premium on every new account, no card, nothing to cancel

Med Mastery hard mode: typed answers graded by AI against your own protocol, with partial credit that re-drills only what you missed

Algorithm quizzes weighted to your certification level, citing the right protocol page far more often

Scenarios with a real progress bar and a genuinely different topic on every Random draw

The Formulary first, so you pick the meds you carry before you start

Algorithm Quizzes Fit Your Scope

Algorithm quizzes now weight toward your certification level. A paramedic gets drilled on paramedic decisions, fundamentals stay in the mix, and nothing lands above your scope. They also cite the right protocol page far more often, so checking an answer takes you to the page it came from.

Scenarios and the Formulary

Scenario progress bars are paced to the real generation work, and Random mode now draws a different topic each time instead of circling back.

The Formulary lists every medication in your protocol with a switch on each, and it decides what Med Mastery drills. It now opens once before your first session so you can turn off what you do not carry. It is not a gate: close it and your session starts anyway.

When a typed answer is borderline, the grader leans toward giving you the point. If a grade ever reads wrong, the feedback form in the app comes straight to me.

And the standing rule: your local protocol always wins. ProtoQuiz is not medical direction and never overrides your agency or your medical director.
